About Michele Harris-Carter

Founder - Managing Broker


Michele Harris-Carter is the Managing Broker at Preferred Real Estate Services, based in Tampa, Florida. She originally founded the firm in 2005 as a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser, later adding a real estate brokerage division to expand the firm's service offerings. Michele is responsible for the oversight of daily operations. This oversight includes the training, transaction review, evaluation and production of sales for associates and appraisers. Prior to becoming a broker, Michele worked as a Real Estate Sales Associate at Future Home Realty from 2014 to 2019. Before this, she was a Senior Staff Appraiser at Ameriquest Mortgage from 2003 to 2005. Michele began her career as a General Appraiser at People's Appraisal Service in 1990 where she worked for 13 years until she joined Ameriquest Mortgage. She received her formal training in real estate appraisal from Home Savings of America in Los Angeles, California.


She holds a B.A. in Sociology and Criminology from Rutgers University and is a Certified General Appraiser, licensed in multiple states. She has accomplished the coveted GRI designation (Graduate Realtor Institute) as well as the SRES (Senior Real Estate Specialist).
